WOW!

The skies in Buckhaven were filled with colour on Sunday the 4th of November as the small town celebrated their first Bonfire and Firework display in over a decade.

Buckhaven display went off with an exceptional bang as thousands of people flocked to the braes from all over Levenmouth to watch the event.

Event organisers, Buckhaven & Denbeath community council stated " We are absolutely over the moon with the outcome. It was amazing to watch our little town come alive again"

There wasn't just a bonfire and fireworks to enjoy as burger vans, sweet vans, fairground rides and Kingdom FM were there to entertain the eager crowds.

Just around 6.30 the crowds watched as two Community Council Members set fire to the large bonfire of pallets, which soon sent flames licking around the stars.

Once the crowd moved back from the roaring fire it wasn't long before the sky was lit up to a standard not seen in the average back garden with onlookers stating "it truly was magical" while others told how it brought back so many childhood memories.

The Community Council were very grateful to Buckhaven Building Supplies, Levenmouth Printers and Junk Monster for their endless amount of support and contributions.

They would also like to thank the many local businesses for their donations, the public for making a donation on the night and a special thanks to the many people who gave up their time and effort to prepare for the event and execute the evening flawlessly.

A team of 28 local volunteers, with volunteers from the council and local elected councillors helped to ensure it was an enjoyable night. The evening would not have been possible without the support from ALL involved.

If locals would like to see this become a yearly event they are urged to make a donation to the JustGiving page.
